Sadly, another user, one of my favorites here on Y.A. 'Mark B', decided to leave this place because the constant abuses. I just received a goodbye note from him.

I am very angry. Shouldn't we address this issue to Yahoo in a more direct way, perhaps with a formal note?

All because of a few stupid antisocial creeps, many folks leave here unhappy, I may be next. You would think Yahoo would care, huh?

I'm with you. I'm sick of the idiots and I've only been here a week or so. I've done quite a bit of "reporting abuse" and it doesn't seem to matter.

I'd be glad to get in on and/or sign your formal letter. I'd like for this to be a fun place to hang.

Yahoo Message Board closed 19 Dec. 2006 for the very same reason. Too many trolls. In fact, Yahoo risked a civil suit filed by a user because YAHOO itself was "unable" to enforce their own Terms and Policies.

The only way to resolve this problem with trolls is that Yahoo require a sign-up membership and disable the users to create multiple Id's.

With that said, you'll have my signature if /when needed.

Although I put 90 percent of the blame on the "few antisocial creeps", the JJJ's, etc., I also put the other 10% of the blame on the LGBT crowd themselves !

If the first person to run onto a bashers question would only reply with RAMO (Report and Move On), and then NO ONE ELSE REPLIED ANYTHING, I think the problem would go away.

Everyone always says they will RAMO, but they always make a reply. They are playing right into the bashers hands.

From now on, if you see a RAMO on a bashers question, Report them as abuse, and Move On. Do not reply with "you are reported", or name calling, or any defending of the LGBT community. Just do the RAMO.

A formal note sounds interesting. I'd be glad to sign my name to something like that as well as MANY others here I am sure.

But to be honest with you, I have come to just ignore the idiots. They DO make it easy to tell that they are idiotic questions, and I just think they are idiots whose opinion doesn't really matter to me. Their questions will be reported and disappear in a little while, but I think there is more than enough interesting dialog to make it worth the time to just skip over their questions. But it would be nice if they weren't here at all!

The abuses of the idiots are a pain. I'm more here to answer the questions of straights and guys new to the scene than I am to learn more my self. Gay forums and other places more suited for discussion exist.

I report the crap and answer the questions people have. As is we are represented more by TV than we are by real gays. So I like to speak up and show people we aren't all valley girls who talk with a lisp. Use your balls and stand up to them. Have pride. I do and I'm a total sissy.

Don't leave. We would miss you. And it would be like you are giving in to the trolls. Yes, it gets tiresome, but we just have to keep reporting and move on. I have written to Yahoo a couple of times, and I received responses, but I guess there is only so much they can do. If people are writing from internet cafes, then they can't block a person's IP address, and who knows what else is going on.

I'm upset that Mark left too. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. I'm with you all the way. I think if Yahoo could do anything it would already be done. I was also thinking of something else, I kind of have an idea.

Aunty Rose is not allowed to slap anyone but for a person to post such offensive garbage that someone feels forced to leave,WELL!!!
I must admit that 42 years plus of spiteful hatred toward my partner and myself rather hardened my skin, but I had a wonderful person to love and support me.

I'll sign your note if you get it started. I would like to see a change in this Q&A. I am tired of hate crime. It shouldn't be allowed to exist anywhere, including the internet. Granted, I hate how the media censors everything that is on t.v. also. Internet is our only free media of expressing ourselves, yet we get abused here if not worse than having censorship!

Too many FREAKS and not enough CIRCUSES!

I just think we must rise above these people...
After all it is the WORLD WIDE WEB....
Do you think that they can put a stop to it?

I have decided just to rise.
We can't allow them to have anymore power....
Why give the "Idiots" anymore ability?

JUST RISE ABOVE... it's creep free on the Higher Ground!
~Promise!~
