Other ways, are check the device manager for a network card listing.
Also, check network connections under control panel, if you have one, its also listed there

Look in your device manager (right click on "MY COMPUTER" and click on manage, then click on device manager you will get a list of the installed hardware in categories. Look for network adaptors and if there click on the plus to its left to see the adaptors that windows recognizes.

Else look on the back of the computer for a jack thqat looks like a phone jack but has 8 wires inside instead of the 4 of a phone. This is an RJ45 connector used for network and high speed internet.

Look for the hole that looks like where a phone line could connect, but bigger. If it has this hole in the back, then it has a network card.

Look for the plug in the back. It's about 1cm by .5 cm. Looks like a phone socket.

look for an RJ-45 connector that looks like an RJ-11 modem telephone connector, but is slightly bigger and has more pins.

look around the back of your pc, it will have a port ready for an ethernet cable.

Ring the place up of where you purchased it from or try for yourself somehow on the comp, not a good comp person :S!!!
