Well that is an interesting question only if we assume that there is a benevolent god. The injustice and pain in the world is evidence to the contrary. I personally believe there is no god so the question is rendered meaningless. This is a much better prospect for it means that human beings cause the cruelty to each other. This means that there is hope for change in the state of things so we do not have to be confined to a world of eternal cruelty of an omnipotent being.

Also to those who blame the devil, in your philosophy is god not behind his actions as well? Or is there some sort of fight between two gods?

Is this all you can see is cruel, you need to speed up, and get one more look . If you see something you think is cruel it's your time to shine .See you have a very special talent , and it's the ability to see what people in the fast lane can't see .We all go on with our lives every day ,with the built-in tunnel vision ,you may call it SELF,ME.MINE, and YOURS TRULY. So now when you see "cruel" don't give your life and all to it, just lead the way out of the path of even more of the cruel. I see by your question at hand, that you to have had a run in with cruel .Now some like cruel in there life I like a little of it to .So drive on, and don't give God all the praise for "cruel" God gives use all the same choice to do as you will.

God isn't cruel.
The world is cruel. Cruelty is the roll of the dice, chance, choices, circumstances that are cruel.

All good comes from God the creator.

God is not cruel. The people in this world created everything we have today. God gave us imagination. Unfortunately, some people use this imagination negatively, and so cruelty is created and affects others. My advise is don't think about the cruelties, think about making the world a better place - have a deep belief in that. See what happens then in your life.

God is not cruel. It's the devil messing with you making you think God is cruel. You need to talk to someone within a church and pray and read the bible.

God isn't cruel to people, people are cruel to people.
hoever, like any loving parent, God will discipline when we disobey. If there are a lot of problems in your life start reading your bible to find out where the problem is.
like they say if all else fails read the instuctions.
God wants only the best for his children. But as a parent there comes a time when you step back and let a child make some mistakes.
if you've told your kids no to something a hundred times and they still ask sometimes you just tell them yes cause you know they aren't going to listen to you any way.
Then you step back and wait for them to realize you were right and come back to you ready to listen.
God Loves you!!!!!!!!
enough to sacrifice his only son for you. Don't give up on him, because he will never give up on you.

i will pray for you to find this love.

God is not cruel. Even if he were cruel, it would be very difficult for you to know that God is cruel to all humans. That would be one massive study or verification project.

it isn't that he is cruel..its just that sometimes people lose track of god and it takes things like disasters to bring people back to him. everything happens for a reason..if something bad is going on with you it is a learning experience.. however bad your life is on this earth flip it around and that is how good it will be in the next life. God will never give you more than what you can handle you just need to find will power in yourself. He will not help you if you can not help yourself.

Is He? How so? Are you suggesting that life should be less than it is? Has it occurred to you that what you call cruelty adds a kind of richness to the tapestry of life? Life is everything and so it has everything...good and bad. It is the ultimate! Would a castrated life experience devoid of danger, suffering, and cruelty really be as interesting as a life with all of those things?

Perhaps instead of blaming God, you should look towards your own failing. You sound like a weakling. Guess the ride is too much for you. You need to stay on the kiddie rides in the game of life.

Honestly I use to think that when I was younger, why was God doing this to me, why doesn't God realize I'm suffering. This must be punishment. It got to the point that I didn't believe in God anymore. But one day I just realized it could be worst. All the stuff I was saying that God was punishing me for was things I was doing to myself so i just woke up. I'm not very religious or anything like that. But I really think that God is something you have to figure out on your own.
