I'm a Gordon fan, not the biggest but still a fan. I think he has done so much for NASCAR and can't figure out why so many hate him. I always thought he was a good driver. He will prolly end as one of the winningest. He seems as honest and fair as any of the other drivers. What gives?

Guess I dont see that he's cocky or arrogant. By no means any more than so many other drivers.

He is one of those drivers that you either like or dislike. I don't follow Nascar that much anymore, but I think the reason he is disliked is because he is good driver and very successful without being arrogant like some of the drivers. Not naming names, but it seems arrogancy follows money or vice-versa.

because he has a wider vocabulary and people that like nascar like the more indistinguishable drivers that are mumbling and have an accent

Gordon may have done alot for your sport, He's boring. not very manly either, he just doesn't seem tough, so people pick on him.
