generally you would not beable to "find" a logger that came in by email, it would be hidden in a virus or a ligimate program. if you "found" it on your computer, then someone put it there... maybe a Boyfriend / Girlfriend or someone with access to your computer. and even if it did come through the email there wouldnt be a way to track it, altho you could narrow it down to likely suspects, it would have to come in through and attachment so browse through all your emails and look for ones with large attachments, thats most likely it (IF...IF it came through the email.

How do you know that you have a logger? If you can identify the logger then you can you view it in some fashion?

The logger would have to be able to report your keystrokes over the Internet. You should be able to get an Internet logger. This will tell you any websites are visited by your machine. If you get hits will you are not active there is a good chance you will have the site that started the logger on your machine.

I think McAffee has a logger like I described.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free.

I would focus on email from people you trust. Unless, you are in the habit of clicking on links and attachments in email from senders you don't know and should never trust.

The odds are that someone you trust sent you an email with an attachment or link that had this keylogger.
