Have we as a society changed for the better or worse?

Anything they print or say that is not a verifiable fact should be required by law to be identified as the sources own personal opinion. Those who print, write, or say deliberate misinfomation should be kicked out of the media and not allowed to use mass communications. Penalties for libel and slander should be draconian.

In the old days journalists were considered to be the watchdogs of government. Today with so many newspapers and TV stations owned by politically correct wealthy people journalists basically just print whatever the heads of newspaper tell them to and whatever the heads of the TV stations tell them to say. No one thinks for themselves and if they did they would be out of work.
