Personally, I prefer the Battlefield series.
Battlefield 1942
Battlefield: Vietnam (this one is kinda lame.... but hey)
Battlefield 2 (Modern Combat version... awesome game)
Battlefield 2142 (Futuristic Battlefields with awesome weapons, Battle Walkers, Hover Tank)
Currently, I played BF2142 all weekend and had a blast. (this past President's Day holiday weekend, they had all the unlocks in the game, unlocked. As you do well in battle's, you are awarded a score. The more points you get, the faster you get promoted and can select new unlocks)
The Medal Of Honor series is also good.... but I prefer Battlefield.

Ive got to go with Rainbow Six Vegas. Its very realistic lots of new features and things with this Rainbow Six game. I bought my game in December right at Christmas and I still play it everyday. There are many different types of game play you can choose in this game. Always lots of people online playing. They are going to release sometime in the near future I believe 5 new maps for the game. There is talk on a new players edition of rainbow coming out where it will come with all the new maps and updates for around 70 dollars. They are also talking about releasing it on the xbox live marketplace for those who already have the game for around 15 bucks or so I believe. Personally Ive played a lot of first person shooter games and Rainbow by far is my personal favorite.

Hah. If you want to play a popular and free 3rd personish, Gun/Ninjaing/RPG game online, then GunZ is perfect for you.
You get to customize your own character play huge deathmatches with thousands of players, earn money to buy guns, swords, armor, etc. I also heard Red Orchestra was a good game for the PC, you can call in artillery strikes on other people, and it can be played online as you either being Nazis, Russians or Americans. I supposed if you had Windows Vista you could even buy Halo 2, idk why you'd want to though if you already have an Xbox and Xbox Live. America's Army is another good first person shooting game for the PC, you even get to take courses to be able to be a medic and heal your teammates online. It isn't really first person, but you could always play the popular MMO game called stick arena. (stickarena.com)
