Abortion = Deadbeat parents?
I know it is politically incorrect to say the following but here goes. Having studied the systemic attack of fathers, and now parents over the last 30 years in our social services, I note that today, the government is going after 'deadbeat' parents.
First they were called 'deadbeat fathers', now they are called 'deadbeat parents', why such a negative name ?
Consider the people who kill their unborn children through abortion, they should be called 'deadbeat' parents. Parents who do not support their children financially should not be called 'deadbeat' parents, for they at least gave life to their children ?
Bottom line, the system has been corrupted to attack fathers, now parents, (that mothers and fathers), it is plain to me.
Deadbeat parent = Abortion ?

The question served many purposes.
1. Why call parents who cannot support a child, a 'deadbeat'....seems like the parent of an aborted child seems more logical...
Why is the term 'deadbeat' used for this...how about irresponsible parent ?

Deadbeat is a negative name...and one well deserved by parents of living children who refuse to support them. If you have a child, then be prepared to support that child. Be prepared to give some things you WANT up, and give that child what it NEEDS! So what if they gave "life" to that child. So what? Life...hmm...what about food, clothes, a place to live, some toys, books, parents who care, love them? Thats not important? Only that the child lived? Well, ask children who are abused...ask children who are in foster care...ask ADULTS who are searching for their parents, the ones they didn't know...what they think is important. Have you ever tried to console a child whose parents weren't there for a school play they starred in? Haveyou ever tried to console a child who only wants to have a family? Have you ever tried to console an adult who doesn't know where he/she came from, or why they weren't "wanted" by their parents? Have you ever seen the face of a child whose father left watch another with their father? Have you ever felt bad that you can't do something to help when you see a single mom tell her child she can't afford something as simple as an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck?
And no...abortion does not equal deadbeat parents. I won't even begin to debate this...I'll say this....its a CHOICE...period.

I disagree with this because i had an abortion when i was 19 and with someone who i knew I would have no future with. A couple yers later i was with the right man, and I had another child that I kept because i knew i could have a future with this man. We have a wonderful 2 year old son, and we are not "deadbeat" parents.

As a Catholic abortion is against my religion. But Sometimes I think it can be justified. How about parents who abuse and torture and sometimes kill their children?! How about women raped, who become pregnant, after such a trauma, should they then be forced to give birth to the child of a man who violated them?As a child of a physically and mentally abusive mother, there were times I wish I had never been born.

Have kids and take some friggin charge! If you don't have money, do what's necessary to provide for your kids. I have a child and I'm a single mom of a competitive athlete. I'm tough on myself, but being deadbeat is out of the question.
Deadbeat doesn't = abortion. As long as one strong adult is present, that child will bloom. Just like my daughter. Her father will never be deserving, but she continues to thrive as he seems smaller and more insignificant to both her and myself.
Abortion AND Deadbeat parents = Cowardly Defeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a negative name is given because of the negative doing parents are doing to there children; I do not know if I agree with the comparison you have given but I do think the laws need to do something about the system and how child support is paid. There really is a problem there.

Im ultimately guessing you are male because it should be up to the mother on abortion and that does not necessarily mean she is a deadbeat parent just thats what she want!

Not paying child support is against the law
Abandoning your child is against the law
Verbally abousing your child is againt the law
Beating your child is against the law
Making sure your underage child goes to school is a law
Aborting a fetus (Not yet a living thing) IS NOT AGAINST THE LAW so thusly, you cannot be a parent to a non living thing

i think either way in wrong... now i understand that when the "baby" is just a bunch of cells, the cells are living cells but i dont believe that it is a human yet.... i am personally pro-choice... i just want to make clear that mean i like abortion, i dont but for certain reasons it is accepted... for example, rape, wrong point in time to have a child, you didnt want to see it go through a rough life or foster homes, ect....
i am also for stem cell research.... last year i did my term paper on how stem cell research should be federally funded

WRONG; a deadbeat parent is a term used for parents who dont pay child support.
they didnt give life to their children, GOD did.
the state and federal government got TIRED of parents not paying for their children, so they passed stronger laws.
in court,
there is NO "fathers rights"
there is NO "mothers rights"
there is ONLY THE CHILDS RIGHTS. all laws reflect such.
