A lot of people have noticed this - but especially Canadians....you'd think that in any city especially in these progressive civilzed countries that people would be glad to have tourists spending money in their cities etc

The same reasons some Americans treat other Americans rudely. Lack of courtesy, morals, and pride in ignorance.

Finland is the main Americanized u . s . in Europe. human beings are particularly familiar with American way of life and know it like their very own. that would not advise that their very own way of life is comparable, yet an American would not have a perplexing time in Finland as English is a required language in Finnish faculties from age 10. Germany might possibly come close in the back of. often, Slavic countries are maximum perplexing for an American to trip to as English is extra durable in those countries (Cryllic alphabet makes it a challenge).

im sorry you were treated unfairly, but as Americans, we are alil tired of just ppl from other countries coming over here and then moving in and we are spending our taxes on them to live comfortably...and they wreak all the benefits while we pay for it...thats all...but again im sorry that if you were visiting, you were treated like that, where were you? because if you were in new york than thats just how they are up there....

My experience of N.Y was a pleasant one - everyone was happy to chat with us and people rushed to open doors as my son was in a pushchair. A lot of people in this town could learn from Americans.

i don't know what your talking about, i've met plenty of people from out of country and i'm not rude to them just because they are foreign, many Americans probably don't like canadians because canadians are very judgemental of American and say bad things about us and our country, they have limited media shows where they don't always get the whole story

Canadians are generally much friendlier towards strangers than Americans. That doesn't make Americans rude - they simply don't care about being friendly towards people they don't know.

You have GOT to be kidding. Its like...treat a tourist disrpectively here in the USA and be deported or possibly put to death. You must have been in the wrong country fool.
