will ultima collection work with windows xp?

and is it a fun game? im thinking about buying it,it says it for windows 3.1 please reply,thanks.

It should. I actually haven't played the Ultima Collection. However, I do play Ultima Online at a player run shard http://www.game-master.net. If you enjoy the Ultima collection, try the online version.
