What will be different about the U.S. If there is a female president?

Despite the mildly inflammatory headline--the core of this question fascinates me so I'll take a crack at it:

<>

The obvious difference is that we will all have to learn to address the chief executive of our nation with different language. The standard in advance seems to be, "Madam President."

I do not suspect there would be a platform, agenda or executive action plan displaying obvious stereotypical female perspectives (excessive emotion, soft-ball policy, etc). To assume such is simply ignorant.

There probably would be some changes in "tone" within the executive branch of the government, but every change in senior leadership within an organization usually draws changes in tone, vision, leadership style, etc.

There is some very sound research (please don't ask me to dig up undergrad research references) that seem to suggest female executives have some shared styles and perspectives. It may not be such a bad thing if there was a little more compassion and a little less bravado in government for example--but keep in mind, the chief executive officer in any organization can only set a tone...it's the whole leadership team that implements and enforces policy.

Short answer to your question: A lot of "human interest" and very little (if any) major impact on our country and its policies could be attributed simply to the gender of its president. We'll see more differences if the party shifts.

My thoughts--take 'em or leave 'em.

Teachme

P.S. To me, she would simply be my commander in chief...and would therefore still warrent a salute--no change there either.

Have you (asker), or has anybody seen the press conference at the Oscar event last year?
A lady journalist (silly her) from my country, Kosova/o asked Will Smith if it were true that he went to bed with ALL of his movie female partners.
Will Smith, great as he is, jumped over the table and ran straight to the lady, grabbed her and kissed her, saying YES he did, or smth to the effect of that joke.

My question as an answer to the asker: Do you expect ALL the ladies come and hug or kiss you know as a reply?

Of course you don't have to hug and kiss each-other every day when Hillary Clinton becomes President although I personally don\t see no harm in that.

Mind you, there's always the "flu" excuse when you don't want to hug someone. hehehe

In the case of the current female candidate for the democratic presidential nomination, no. In fact, I think that the particular requirement of hugging each other, which I don't think is a bad thing, would be more likely if Barack was elected. Heck, Hillary originally voted for the war. She is not an overly emotional person, and in my opinion is too much of a standard politician to be our next pres. I vote Barack.

genuinely it replaced right into a tradgedy, and genuinely information stations attempt to "sensationalize" it for extra ratiings... heck, weren't all of us bored with Anna Nicole Smith? yet I share on your anger and frustration. I examine via a large type of those solutions right here and it basically feels like a large type of folk are conflicted approximately what to think of. the actuality is, you're staggering--we would desire to continuously no longer rush to judgement on the problem. Heck, the police on the scene are nevertheless attempting to confirm what precisely befell and why, and that they have got extra information than all individuals! I say we would desire to continuously back off and enable the police do their artwork. have self belief it or no longer, they easily need to get to the actuality. Watch them? specific, no problem. rfile the information? of direction. The word "information" have self belief it or no longer originated simply by fact the plural of "new" as in "what's new" -- "information" isn't repeating a similar element back and back back for scores.

Yes. A question like that deserves an answer like this. And to seriously answer your question, it would depend on the woman as it depends on which man right now. How old are you?

Probably not. But then again that sounds better than having to kill each other all the time.

There will be no R rated movies nor will there be any M rated games. A sad world that would turn out to be.
Also everyone will be forced to become tree huggers.
No offense to any women out there.

Probably not. But I think that every 28 days all men will be ordered to a detention cell and beaten. Very bad.
