Video and graphics are the same thing. video memory is how a video card hold data, like colors and resolutions on a screen. In 3d games, holds the textures. Most things use up to 256mb of video memory. Very little games use 512mb so far. You cannot identify by look, you identify by gpu (graphics processor unit)-the brains of the video card.
A few charts for comparing video cards:

video and graphics cards are the same components. Video memory is memory that is built into the video or graphic card. Thus, your computer does not use your onboard RAM for processing power. The video or graphic card supplies its own memory for usage. Usually, if your computer has the graphic or video interfaced, it will appear in blue or yellow on the motherboard and it has a female connector. That means the monitor cable plugs into the connector. If you are using a AGP card, it will be the first slot in the array of pci slots on the motorboard. Usually, the AGP slot has a different color than the others. PCI video can be in any of the remainding pci slots on the motherboard.

A video\qraphics card is the device that is used to send signals to your monitor for display.

A video & graphics card are one and the same.

Video memory is memory that is ONLY used by the video card itself. Thus, it doesn't use your computer's memory. and is faster so it results is better and faster video processing.

Very few cards are easily identified by simply looking at them. Most are marked with factory cryptic markings. The simpliest way to find your video card is to look where the monitor's cabke is connected... That's your video card *IF* the card itself is inserted in a slot.

*IF* your computer has BUILT-IN video, the video chip is installed on the motherboard itself and very difficult to locate.

You can go to your DEVICE MANAGER under DISPLAY to find out which video card your computer has.......

A video card, (also referred to as a graphics accelerator card, display adapter and numerous other terms), is an item of personal computer hardware whose function is to generate and output images to a display. The term is usually used to refer to a separate, dedicated expansion card that is plugged into a slot on the computer's motherboard, as opposed to a graphics controller integrated into the motherboard chipset.
