I think this is a huge cry for attention! I'm sure she is under a lot of stress from the recent split, pressure of generating a new HIT album, and raising a small child.
She certainly can do what ever she likes with her hair, after all, it is JUST hair and it WILL grow back.
However, for our culture, it seems like a shocking thing to do. Maybe she needs therapy or a long relaxing vacation away from the spotlight.
Great idea if she did do it for a charity to make a wig for people who have cancer. That would be fantastic and show she has a heart. BUT...it is obvious that is NOT why she did it. She randomly shaved it herself vs. having someone carefully cut off her locks. AND...considering hours later she got several tatoos, it was definately NOT for a charity.

I used to hate her but now that she shaved her head I LOVE her.I hope she keeps her head shaved for a long time or better yet the rest of her life.

It's just hair - in the entertainment industry they wear wigs anyway a lot of the time - now, it'll be easy for her to stick them on her head.

If she had done it later, she could have gotten away with saying that she did it for the World's Greatest Shave to raise money for people with Leukemia.
And no, she didn't shave it for that reason. She shaved it because she wanted to.
