Seriously, people - find spirituality somewhere else. In politicians, just look for the person who knows how to run the country without running it into the ground. Seek morality somewhere you might find it, not in a politician.

I don't really look to them for moral leadership, I already have my moral yardstick in place. But I tend to look for those who share my moral base and beliefs. There's much more to look at, obviously, but that's a part of it. Politicians run a country based on their own moral code, it's sort of hard to separate the two in reality.

The media isn't going to cover people who have upstanding morals. It just doesn't sell. If they do, it's usually when people fail in their morality.
I believe there ARE moral politicians, at least a handful, but you wouldn't know it.

Basically, you took this time to rant about people who vote for politicians based on their religious stance. I would rather vote for someone who says that they believe in God than a politician who gets caught on tape taking bribes from the FBI.
