He just got back from Iraq and he needed a gun. He tried to shoot a catapillar that was right by his foot.

Since his foot has turned black, it is probably infected. He needs a professional to look at this immediately! You should either help him get to the hospital or call an ambulance. If his wound is bleeding badly put pressure on it and try to stop the bleeding. (An even bigger reason to get help as soon as possible.) This may be embarrasing, but your friend needs help now! If left untreated horrible infections may set in making the only viable option for treatment amputation. Or worse yet, your friend may die from the infection!

Doesn't say much for his chances in a gunfight, bet the other guy can hit the target better than your friend, after all, your toe isn't that far away. I know a man who caught a rat by stabbing it with a pitchfork, unfortunately he caught his own foot with the other tine, and has limped ever since. We call him Daft Arthur.

well first of all that was a particularly stupid thing to do and second it turned black that is never a good sign on your body that means skin is dying if skin is dying then maybe the bullet broke in his foot maybe an infection got in before he could bandage it. i think it's probably the bullet one go to the hospital get and x-ray they may need to do surgury but at least go to the hospital it's only going to get worse if he doesn't

Well I would say go the the Emergency Room, gangrene can set in faily fast if the wound was not cleaned properly.

it's like the vietnam thing only now it's iraq.who would risk shooting a gun just to kill a catarpillar?and why kill it in the first place.seek a doctor turning back means infection.he can lose it.

I think you should relax about your friend, he is OK, your foot should be black. You guys should just go out and have some cheeseburgers and if he dies then just go to Mexico.
