Mac or PC? Tower or Laptop? Will the new program for Windows allow me to run Final Cut and Avid on the PC? Which is the overall better system for video editing?

Does Mac allow dual screen? (if it doesn't that's fine. I was just wondering)

Students, have you used the Mac student discount? Is it worth it?

MAC by far! It was created for any kind of graphics since itis inception and here is where MAC is QUEEN or KING!

Avid/MAC Compatibility chart for example

And YES, ABSOLUTELY utilizize the Educational discount - I was able to get my MACBook Pro 17" LOADED at an obscene discount, because I am taking night classes!
Even if you are HOMESCHOOLED, you can qualiify:

Oh yeah, you can have dual screen, pressing F7 twice on the MACBook enables mirror mode which shows the same thing on both screens.

Mac has always been the better system for video editing... that is what it is designed for. however between the laptop and the desktop, not much difference.

Mac is the standard for any creative field. Music, film, graphics, etc.

Tower, and the biggest monitor you can afford. Laptops are for e-mail.
