Note how they say minuscule amount. Note how they call terrorists, criminals? Thinking about terrorism messes up their lollipop world.

Unfortunately the war on terrorism does nothing to stop terrorism.
Terrorists can be created anywhere, give me a bomb and I could be one. Invading countries does nothing except make the people angry, and possibly radical.
Saddam Hussein never supported Al-Quaeda, he was a staunch opponent of them throughout his reign. I'm not saying wasn't an evil man, but he was a completely wrong target.
The only defence against terrorism is good police work, hundreds of possible attacks have been stopped this way all over the world, but for some reason Bush thinks invading a country with teh biggest oil reserves in the world may solve the problem.
Terrorism is not new, it has been occuring in teh third world regularly for decades. The only difference with 9/11 was that the world superpower was targeted.
Plus, who exactly are 'the terrorists'?? Every person in teh middle east?? Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan?
650,000 innocent Iraqis have died since the war began. They had nothing to do with 9/11, and neither did anyone in Iraq. The terrorists were Saudi I believe. But still, this would not justify war with Saudi Arabia.
The equivalent is Britain invading France because a group of British tourists were killed while in France. War is really not the answer here.
To the author: I am not trying to attack you, I just want the truth to be told. Please try and read this answer impartially, as I see that it sounds like I hate you, which I don't. I'm jsut not a big fan of war.

Right.
So answer me this one, Chuckles: If we are so compassionate, ethical, and high on the morality meter, then why do we constantly deny other people the right to a fair trail and a lawyer? Why do we torture the very same people we were sworn to "liberate"? Why have some of our troops gone out of their way to murder innocent Iraqis and then make it look like they were part of the insurgency?
Why have we fallen to the same level as the terrorists by doing these things?
Why?
Because I'll tell you: Gone are the days where we would fight fair and square.
Now we have to play the villain in order to be just as brutal and sadistic as our enemies.
Just so we can 'win'.
Hence the 'butt-pyramids' in Abu Ghraib.
Great, huh? You must sooo proud that we are now no better than those we claim to be fighting against, eh?

The photographs of Abu Ghraib and what US troops did there may give some insight into how the US is "far more civilized".
I "blinked" when Nick Berg got his head sawed off.
There is NO excuse for either, no matter HOW much the conseravtives minimize atrocities!

That is a load of tripe.
Can you look at how the current US foreign policy is breeding more terrorists and actually making the Middle East less stable and the world as a whole more dangerous?
We are facing a despicable group of zealots who have no regard for human dignity and life, with that I think we can all agree. However, the liberal agenda is to take this fight to the terrorists, not the Iraqis, invest in diplomacy, and stregthen our alliances around the world, because the War on Terror is going to require a global solution, not a unilateral one.

What an outlandish, unsupported claim. To say that Liberals "hardly blinked" at Mr. Berg's execution is utterly ridiculous. It is Liberals who want the war and death to stop. How can you make such a preposterous statement?

"Liberals hardly blinked when Nick Berg had his head sawed off. To them, they see a moral equivalence."
I have never heard anyone, Liberal or Conservative say that. Did you happen to have an example of someone who did?

Tom, if you pull just a little harder, perhaps your head will come all the way out of your butt! You speak as if you've talked to every liberal and they all told you they hate life!?!? You haven't got a clue what you're bitching about. Some times it seems like someone has let the kindergarten class play with the computers!

You would think that a red flag of question would go up when the terrorists publically agree with the democrats.I guess thats just a notch in the bed post for them.

I agree that terrorists are crazy. That is all the more reason we should be investing in intel and protecting America's borders rather than chasing them all over the globe.
