I unplugged my computer, and now the internet won't work. I use a D-Link wireless router to transfer the signal from my main computer to downstairs. The main computer works fine. On the computer that won't work the internet says connected, signal is excellent, but it says Limited or no connectivity. And I can't get an internet page to open. I called my IP and they can't figure it out.

Any ideas?

You need to unplug your computer from the wireles interface, unplug the wireless router and wait 15 seconds. Restart the router without connecting the computer. Once the router is restarted, restart the computer. Now plug the computer into the wireless interface.

You should have a signal now and working web browser.

Double check by right clicking on the icon by the clock, selecting 'view available wireless networks' and make sure you are connected to YOUR network router and not a neighbor's.
If you are connected correctly, right click again on that icon, go to status and click support. see if the ip address listed is something similar to your other one. It should start with 192.xxx.xxx.xxx for example 192.168.0.102. If the number doesn't look right, click on repair and see if that fixes your ip address. you may need to restart your computer, too.
Also, check the router and make sure that you don't have extra people accidentally logging into your router and taking up all your dhcp ip addresses.
That is where to start anyway! Good luck!
