I'm actually pretty upset about it because they won't let me watch. What's up with that?

Seriously, that torture part is not sitting well at all with most Americans.

Neither Americans nor anyone else should condone torture. However, the consensus of American YA respondents to this question in the past have overwhelmingly approved of it. God save the human race.

While I do not support the war, you need to fight the fight the enemy gives you. If they have no problem torturing us, and beheading us on TV, then why should we squirm from doing what we need to do to protect ourselves. We must remember that we are not fighting a government, like WWII, who care about their people, civilians, or even basic human decency. The high moral ground gets you killed, down and dirty saves lives. When they start treating our prisoners better, showing respect for civilians, then we should treat them better, but until then, we must protect ourselves.

See the previous poster. Since I utterly reject this administration or their acts, I feel horrible about it but not responsible. A better question would be 'as a Conservative Republican, how do you feel about people being tortured without trial in your name?'

I think it is against everything the united states stands for. Every time I think we are coming to our senses, something like this happens..."The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled 2-1 that civilian courts no longer have the authority to consider whether the military is illegally holding the prisoners (Guantanamo Bay) — a decision that will strip court access for hundreds of detainees with cases currently pending."-Yahoo news.

Well, it's either them, or thousands of innocent people being killed for no reason. I think I'll go with the terrorists being tortured.

Certainly not in my name. I strongly oppose torture and this torture goes against laws that protect prisoners. But, I'm not over there and don't know exactly what is going on. We should be better than the terrorists.
