There is no sign that says "only these kinds of people can shop here", but subconciously they are only advertising to one type of social class. Beachy, surfer, model, ect.

Hollister: Overpriced, low quality apparel. Tries to pawn thrift store quality stuff on the gullible who pay $25 for a shirt that will rip after wearing it and washing it twice.

Walked through several different stores several times, never found anything even remotely worth buying. I'm no model, not do I pretend to be. But if I am going to buy clothes for myself I want them to give me some valuable return on investment. Otherwise it's just giving money away to a company that by definition already takes advantage of gullible people.

I love Hollister, I'm actually from California anyway. But you're right it kinda only lets certain people go there, I was at the mall once with my emoish friend (I'm super preppy) and I went in Hollister real quick and she came and she's said she wasn't ever goin in there again.

I think that it just goes to show you about society. All kinds of stores do the same thing so I guess it doesn't bother me as much as it did before. I don't want to go in there anyway...It is always so dark like a cave. What are they trying to hide those high prices?

Well their clothes are only made for one group of people.I like the style but the clothing doesn't look right on my body I have a shape I'm not a 4x4 flat board.I'll stick to urban wear and leave that style for the people it was created for!

I think that it is crazy. The thing is that there are so many stores that do that. Look at NY&CO, Lerner, and even Victoria's Secret. They all are trying to appeal to one kind of audience. It is the way of the fashion world though. There is nothing that we can do about because they are not going to change. Abercrombie&Fitch had lawsuits against them for the same thing and you see they are still doing the same thing.

if you dont like beachy, surfer clothes, dont shop at a beachy, surfy store. Hollister only advertises to beachy surfy people, because they only make beachy surfy clothes.
