Men in uniform tend to be in some position of power (police upholding the law, firemen saving lives, etc). We associate that in our minds, usually unconsciously. It triggers attractiveness because lets face it, women like men in power more often than not. We are all attracted to people high up in the food chain and uniforms are an easy way to distinguish that. Just look at sports figures, same exact thing.

I love a man in uniform :p. Right now, my boyfriend works for a security company and has to wear a full uniform, badge and everything and it's really sexy. Plus, he just took a test for the Police Department... Handcuffs... ;)

I have no clue what the big deal is with that. My fiance works in construction just wearing jeans and a tee shirt and he comes home covered in dirt lol, I think that's sexy.
