I used to work at a turkey (as in Thanksgiving) farm when I was in my early twenties and whenever my two bosses and me were out in the yard talking about the duties of the day, their German Shepard dog Barney would do that to me. I was away from home and young at the time as I took this quite personally. I was actually upset about it and thought there was something wrong with ME! Years later I came down to the conclusion that all animals have that instinct to do that to no matter who you are.

No the dog is ether so old he can't tell the difference between a leg or female dog or the humans leg smells like a female dog so the male dog assumes its a female dog. Dogs have bad eye sight too especialy old ones.

I don't believe there is such a thing as a gay dog, it's just their instinct when it's that time for them. It also happens with female dogs as well.
