If you want to put a folder on a CD for backup, use Windows Explorer to locate it, then right click and click on "Send To" your CD drive, probably D: In a few seconds you will get a baloon popping up at the lower right of your screen. It will say "You have files waiting to be written to disk". Click on the baloon and click the choice "write to CD". It doesn't matter if the folder contians a picture or data.
I don't know why everyone wants to make it so complicated - Windows is perfectly capable of creating a CD with a couple of clicks.

Whenever u want to copy something to ur CD, u have to burn it.. It means that u shud have a burn software on ur compter for sure. By default windows has a default burner called Nero. If u have it on ur comp then just goto programs and click on nero, then follow the instructions (like which option to use for burning a picture) and browse for the file and add it to the burn list, now click on BURN to back it up.. ur done :)

well you have to use a backup utility like Norton Ghost, Nero Back it up or acronis true image, my advice is to use Norton Ghost 10. well after installing its pretty simple and straight forward to use, and will guide you through the entire process in wizard mode.
to put a picture on a cd/dvd you need to make a photodisc using nero or ACD see or Picasa.... best thing around is Picasa... try it out. gud luck

first you gotta have a cd burnner..put a cd-r cd in there, and give it time to get started.and you'll have a window show up when it does..scroll to the bottom of it and select take no action..there'll be a lil box you can check for that action every time..i leave it plank every time so i can continue to download pic's onto it untill it's full..then you select the pic'(S) you want to save..right click on them one at a time.and click save as is..and in some cases..you'll have a lil box at the top left cornner of each pic.check each box of every pic you wanna save to the cd..after that..locate and click on load now,,hope that works for you
