3 Days Late Negative HCG Beta?

I have a 31 day cycle. My period was due Saturday the 17th and on Friday the 16th the doctor did a HCG Beta test and it was negative. Still no period today. Urine test negative however with my first pregnancy it took 5 days late to show up. Anyone had anything similar????

The hcg bete quant is very accurate. Could be many factors that are leading to late or missed period including stress or wanting to be pregnant badly enough.

Test again in a few days. I got a positive result 8 days before my period was due, but every test, and everybody is different.
