it it very important to share your memories. When my grandmother shared her memories with me it marked a lot of family history and also made some very good stories for generations to come. Our memories are who we are and by sharing them we are sharing a part of our self with the ones we care about. Weather they be good or bad it marks us in making us who we are also. When all else fails most of us are left with our memories and oh how wonderful they can be.

It's not important to share memories because it could trigger fears and other negative emotions that were created by that particular memory. Thoughts create emotions, emotions change the physiology of the person. It can be good to share memories in some situations which could possibly influence the outcome of something, i.e extrapolation.
Some people like to think of good memories for sentimental reasons, but I'd prefer focusing on what I'm doing now, and what I can do to get to where I want to be in life.

Memories are a very personal part of a humans life experiences. To share this, is to become vulnerable and many people can bring up those memories you have shared with them and destroy or make them different from the ones you remember.
Do not mess with what you have lived with, to just any person choose the right person to share your memories with.

Memories have learned lessons in them. If we do not learn from others mistakes we are doomed to repeat them.
