Deffiantly road trip. If you are looking for family bonding then a road trip may be the best for you and your kids. Espcially since one of children is about to hit the teenage years and they wont want to go do family stuff any more!!!

THAT WOULD DEPEND ON UR FAMILY AND HOW YOU ALL INTERACT WITH ONE ANOTHER. FOR ME GREYHOUND IS A DEFINITE NO!! ROAD TRIP CAN BE REALLY COOL, EXCITING AND MORE MEMORABLE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. YOU CAN STOP SEE THE SITES,AND SHOP A LITTLE . Amtrak IS OKAY TOO, NO DRIVING, NO FALLING A SLEEP A THE WHEEL, HOWEVER YOU CAN'T SITE SEE FROM A TRAIN, BUT IF YOU NEED REST ALONG THE WAY, THEN AMTRAK IS THE WAY TO GO.......AND YOU STILL GET THAT PRECIOUS TIME TOGETHER.

Road trip.

Not sure what part of MO but you can do St. Louis to Destin in less than 18hrs.

Last year, we did that trip. Left Friday after work, drove 5 hours to Nashville to stay the night. Left Nashville early Sat. morning and were there about 4 or 5. Get one of those portable DVD players for the car and you should be good to go.
