I grew up in a small town in the midwest, and went to college in a university town near there. Since college I've lived in 4 other cities (3 in the U.S. and 1 in Asia), for a total of 6. I like to travel a lot and have recently been working overseas. I get the impression some of my friends/family think I'm nuts because I don't care to settle down, buy a house, get married and start having kids. To me that life seems very boring. So, are my friends boring or am I nuts? lol!

No. I like to wander myself. I use to beat myself up about it. If it weren't for people like us think how boring the world would be. No one would have discovered anything.

Sounds to me like you're enjoying your life the way it is.
There's a time for everything and if you should ever decide to settle down it will be when You are ready. Not when others dictate. I commend you on being who you are . Too many people rush into marriages and settle down when they're not quite ready, which leads to divorces or unhappy relationships, children suffer, etc. If and when you ever decide to put down roots, I think you will be very happy, because you've been around and learned so much.

Your not nuts....life is short. If You like to travel, so be it. Travel as much as you want and have fun!!!! The problem is certain people expect you to settle down and have kids....there is no set time frame on that. Besides...you will know when your are ready to settle, not your family or friends!!!

No, you arn't nuts you are just doing what makes you happy right now, You should always follow your dreams. I followed mine and I'm happy being married and pregnant also planning on traveling around the U.S. antil our baby goes to school.

I have been moving between Arkansas and Oklahoma my entire life and understand how you feel. Really if it's what you want then your family shouldn't have a problem with it!!!!!
