In your browser's menu bar, click on Tools and go to options...you can set the homepage address in from there...and then apply the change to save it...

• Go to the Web page that you would like to make your home page.
• Open the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
• Under Home page, click Use Current.
(By the way Ctrl+D adds link to ur favorites dosent set it as ur home page. as far as i know we dont have a Keyboard Shortkut for this)

You usually see the invitation on your toolbar asking you to make the particular website your home page. Just click on it

go to control panel internet options and there will be a slot for selecting home page so just put http://www.the site name.com and bingo its done

Name it index.htm or index.html or something like that, depending on the format.
