I grew up in the 1990's. I am ashamed to confesse that I was a part of such trends as the macarena, the giga pets craze, the pog craze, The Spice Girls...

What foolish trends were you a part of ?

Parachute pants and the music from Electric Boogaloo. "We gotta save Miracles!" how sad that I cheered at the time.

Well, after reading the answers to your questions, maybe I should be ashamed, but I LOVED the '80's. Sure, we had some different trends, but they were cool then and are just a lot of fun to remember now. Besides, now our kids have something to dress up as when they go to parties. It's kind of flattering. I do have to admit, however, that I NEVER liked leg warmers and did them anyway just because they were cool at the time. I'm ashamed of that because I wasn't being true to myself.

60's tie dye.
70's pet rocks
80's leg warmers
90's Beverly Hills 90210

My most embarrassing trend was those god awful glasses I had back in the 80's and earlier. They were so big I looked like a fly. I hate photos of myself from then. They take up half my face. And I also tried to give myself a perm. Can you say poodle bangs? Halter tops were not for my shape either. Ick.

Michael Jackson and New Kids on the Block. I grew up in the late 80's early 90's and that was the worse time for anything really. Even the music kinda sucked.

The 90's have nothing on those of us who grew up in the '80's- idolizing Michael Jackson, wearing red leather jackets to look like him; break dancing; BMX bikes; rat tails (wearing a crew cut with a little curly piece of hair hanging down to your collar); Mohawks; friendship bracelets; those stupid ball caps with the flaps hanging down in back (check out the kid in European Vacation, he wears one); Vans sneakers; opening a Coke can by piercing the side and sucking all the soda out was pretty stupid, too.

The list goes on and on, but this is all off the top of my head.

between the ages of 10-20, i grew up in the 70's and 80's, i was part of two trends, balloon pants, leg warmers, shoulder pads, bright baby blue eye shadow, shoes that tie up half way up your leg, a very tight perm including the bangs, Micheal Jackson thriller craze, cabbage patch kids, clothing that was neon, neon everywhere, headbands, bangle bracelet's half way up your arm, and a hankie around the leg of my torn on purpose jeans, it all jumbles not sure what is from what erra,

LOL fun question, takes me back in time

I was really young in the 80s but I wore big hair - first all my hair was straight and I got a perm to my bangs - HORRIBLE!! and then I started wearing my bangs really huge on top of my head. It was absolutely grotesque.
