The treatment that worked best for me was a combination of microdermabrasion and topical treatments. The microderm uses aluminum oxcide crystals that buff out your skin and smooth the ridges that you may have. The topical solution (Stri-Vectin was what the office I went to used) moisturized the skin and prevented new stretch marks from forming. Some laser clinics offer a combo of microderm and laser as well, but it reallly just depends on your situation.
I had a complimentary consultation (see the website below) with a medi spa in my area and they were able to tell me how many treatments I would need. The earlier you treat your marks (after noticing them), the better. Pink stretch marks are easier to treat than faded ones, but that doesn't mean if your stretch marks are older or white/skin colored that your not a candidate. You just need to have someone check you out. Hope this helps!

Vitamin E oil or cream can be applied to the skin in the affected areas, every day . The cream should be applied overnight. Taking Vitamin E capsules also helps to reduce the scars or stretch marks. Some people break the capsules and apply the oil directly on the scars or stretch marks. You can find more cheap and natural remedies for stretch marks at the link below.

They make a stetchmark lotion with cocoa butter (Palmer's) that helps. They sell it at the drug store and market. If you kept your skin really soft and moisturized you probably wouldn't have them. After shower and before bed apply all over your body and especially on your bottom, otherwise you may get them in other spots. Do it every day. Try not to let your skin get dried out. It has no elasticity in it so it can't stretch without leaving marks and lotion helps. Anything with cocoa butter in it is good.

stretch marks can be genetic - yuck! i know! but vitamin e oil and olive oil can help - you can even mix the two ( if you chill this mixture the olive oil takes on a thick, milky texture, but that's ok. it will liquify once it heats up again). coco butter also works. you just have to be diligent in the application.if all else fails you can always call dr. 90210.

Unfortunately, stretch marks will never go away; but can minimize their appearance w/ cocoa butter - also works for scars.
