In my opinion there was nothing "bad" about what he said. He was expressing his opinion. Our society has become so politically correct that a person doesn't dare speak his mind anymore for fear that some speech policeman will crack down on him. It's a shame.

I do not like them either, but he used the word "hate" which is a bridge too far. Agreed that Amechi was a sub par player at best and is trying to move some books.

I don't think it's bad because I'd rather have it out in the open. When you drive the haters underground, they can do a lot more damage. It does prove that Amechi was right not to come out while he was still playing ball.

well i dont think he went about making the comments in the right way. it is one thing to be anti-gay or homophobic, but voicing that on a national platform is not a good idea.
i feel that everyone is entitled to their opinion...i personally am not anti gay, just anti flamboyance (if that makes any sense)
be with who you want but if you are a man, be a man, if you are a woman be a woman...i personally dont care who you sleep with.
this is america and we do have freedom of speech...he should not be persecuted for voicing his opinion, be it right or wrong

Because voicing bigotry and hatred for any group is asinine. He is free to have those views. Americans are free to hold him commercially accountable by not supporting him in his endeavors (I certainly wouldn't look for him to get endorsement deals anytime soon).

You are also free to have those views, but since you are a nonentity America just doesn't care. :)

Because...

DISCRIMINATION IS DISCRIMINATION IS DISCRIMINATION

anytime you make blanket statements against a group of people based on race, creed, color, national origin, religion or sexual preference, it is wrong.

Why are other people's private lives your co-workers business?

people are so sensitive... I say... to each his own... you like what you like and I don't think it is right that people are judged and criticized for their opinions.
