My two coworkers and myself went to lunch at my house. In real life I am very easy going with my home and all are welcome and everyone knows where the cups, utensils and food is, and nothing is off limits, the same was true in the dream. I realized that we were late getting back from work and we all tried to sneak in through a stairwell, but the stairwell was no longer connected to the building. That's it

In your dream they are using your generosity. As you make it easy for anyone to feel welcome. They will accept your hospitality but do not wish to include you in other things personal thus sneaking back in so you would not see them. The stairwell is indeed not connected to your home it is strictly work related as they are. I have this same scenario in my life & work place tha is why I recognize it. I have concluded that friends can not be bought even with kindness, so if you want to be generous then do it from the heart. You will more than likely not get anything in reutrn!

It just means that you can't really hide things. You were late and you couldn't sneak in. Also it may mean that you're more easy going than you should be. Your open hospitality may be excessive and you need to take into account the pressures of life.

I interpret that to mean that you are very social, but are afraid of taking risks. You're afraid that you will try something and get caught.
That or you had something for dinner that didn't agree with you.
