Lmao,I remember when I was a kid that the pillow tag that said do not remove by law had fallen off the pillow and I cried because I thought I was going to get arrested.I was about 6 or 7 years old.

That tag on pillows and mattresses can be removed after you buy it.No mattress or pillow police after you buy it.

The label can be removed by the consumer after purchase, just not by the seller prior to purchase...

I think those labels say they can't be removed except by consumer. If you bought it you can remove it.
