I have! We meet every Wednesday night and it's been going for over 5 years. We don't really play the "old standards" like Monopoly though because we're tired of them, we play the type of boardgames found here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browser.php?itemtype=game&sortby=rank
They generally finish in under 2 hours so we can play a couple games in a night.

Much like Dana's answer above, I've also organized 2 relatively successful board game groups, but not for the traditional Parker Bros/Milton Bradley style of boardgames.

The games that we play are what are often referred to as Euro games, having been popularized as family entertainment in Europe prior to successfully moving over to the US.

We meet twice a month at a local game store, and can have anywhere from 4 to 24 people playing depending on folks' schedules, etc. We also meet every couple of months at a local college for day long gaming events, and group members often host game nights at their homes as well.

Check out the Board Game Geek for a better idea of some of the games we play, and you can check our group's Yahoo website out as well.

If you have any questions, I can be reached by email at only(underscore)ocassionally(at)yahoo(dot)com
