Dont bother looking for DVD decryptor - its been pulled, macrovision bought the company that owned it and canned it. Try DVD shrink, what that does is crunches a DVD down to a maximum of 4.7Gb to allow you to burn it to a single sided writeable DVD.

If you get shrink and are struggling with it - mail me and i'll walk you through it.

Well its quite simple you get a tool such as 'DVD Decrypter' which is freeware or other DVD copying software and it gives an option to copy directly to your hard drive. However unless you get a compression software the DVD Films will be around 8GB's each and so will require Dual Layer DVD Disc's to record to or two DVD-R Disc's.
Most programs allow you to copy films to hard drive and DVD Decrypter allows you to copy Protected DVD Disc's as all comerical DVD's have protection.
I hope this helps.

Take a look at http://www.1clickdvdcopy.com/. With this software you don't need to manually copy the dvd to your hard drive. The software works out what compression is needed and copies it to your blank DVD. It's a gem. It isn't free software, but it isn't expensive either, and you can download a 10 day trial to test.

Note however that if there is protection on the DVD you might also need to install a DVD decrypter like DVD43 which removes this protection. DVD43 is free software - see http://www.dvd43.com/

[Not that I am condoning piracy of copyright-protected DVDs - that would be illegal.]

OK. place the DVD into the drive (stop if it plays automatically)
go to the my computer icon on your start menu.
on this should be displayed your DVD located in the relevant drive.
right click this icon and you will get a menu topped with "open"
click on open and you will open the DVD in file form
right click on the outside of the top corner file and drag your mouse to the opposite corner.when all files are highlighted right click again and select copy.
this will save the DVD to your PC memory aka the hard drive then you will be free to wright this file to a DVD-r whenever you like.

You have to download a software to do that. I like DVDFAB there is a free version that is really good. Most of the time it is the size to burn to DVD but, if it's not you need another software to get it to fit on a 4.7GB DVD I use DVD2ONE for this. I hope this helps you.
