depend´s really on how expensive they are . you can soak them in your normal washing powder for 1 hr rinse well or put them in your machine ,but don´t add bleach ,this only burn´s the material. which ever way you choose , here´s a little tick on how they will dry very quickly. it´s not a joke,it work´s . Put normal rice in your shoe´s just enough to cover the bottom of the shoe inside ,then with as many clean clothes stuff them inside the shoe´s leave them like this in a warm place over night . and you will be surprised just how dry they are, try it

you can use warm water and soap however depending on how soiled the shoes are I wouldn't recommend going cheap like that. Also depending on what type of soil or dirt you have on the shoe is a factor because leather will sort of rot if you do wash the shoe. Just go out and buy some shoe cleaner; will save you a bunch of headaches in the long run.

I use this method. For the outside of the leather tennis shoe I clean using toothpaste (gets it clean very clean) and for the insole I take it out and handwash and air dry.

Good luck.

I don't know if this is recommended, but I put mine into the wash machine and then stuff with newspaper to dry. They look like new again. Do not dry in the dryer unless you do so with very low heat or just air.

Pull out the insole. Wash in the washing machine (use a little bleach if they are all white). Let air dry. Slip insoles back inside (they will shrink if you wash them).

I throw mine in the washer every now and then. If they are white wash them with your white load with bleach. If they are dark wash with a few pairs of jeans.

either use the soak cycly on the personal machine for 24 hrs with oxiclean or throw away the shoes--much bacteria.

I throw them in the washer. Even leather ones. Let them air dry!
