The US has been trying to broker a unity government for months, and now that they have one, Israel refuses to deal with it.
Will the United States throw away its own diplomatic efforts, or stand up to Israel? One guess...

Rice is just over there to show her alliance with Israel. Olmert is a greedy goon without an ounce of morality. Who runs the US foreign policy? Corporations and lobbies. One big business deal my friend.

Bush runs US foreign policy. Condoleezza Rice is his top deputy to represent him and the people of the US.
Ehud Olmert runs Israel foreign policy. He is answerable to Israel, not to the US.
Perhaps you were unaware that different countries have different goals and policies based on their own unique self-interests?

My vote goes to Olmert. It is so sad that Hamas refuses to acknowledge the existence of Israel. Rice should go to North Korea and Iran to talk to our enemies.
