This guy roughs it in these horrendous environments yet is followed all along the way by a camera crew. I saw one episode where he's in the Brazilian Rainforest, climbs a tree 10 stories above the ground, and is filmed at the top of it.

How does the camera guy climb up that high with a 50 lb camera? Something's fishy about this show...

The camera crew follows along with packaged meals and bettet clothing..they are under strict orders not to help him or give him food unless the sitiuation is fatal..So Bear does everything on his own..Les Stroud of Survivorman goes out completely alone and films himself..the camera equipment is an extra 50lbs.. they both make me feel like a p***y

Certainly does seem fishy! But maybe the camera crew just follows along without "roughing it," and meanwhile he's doing his thing in the wild.

There's a camera crew and he has his own personal camera for situations like that. You can tell because you can see his arm infront of him holding it.

Not a fan but I did catch the show where he was in a desert and peed on his shirt to keep cool.
That was sick but I guess I was meant to know that for a reason.
