does getting your tube tied have bad effects after you had the surgery?

i have two children, one at 18 months and a newborn, at 21 years old. i dont regret having my kids but i do not want any more. so me and my husband are considering permanent birth control. i want to know is there anyone out there who has had their tubes tied and have had bad side effects?

I had it done in 1985 I have never had any problems.it also has the added benefit 'No more worries about birth control'.
