i own a repair shop, and not only will it kill a good battery but you can do severe damage to the alternator on your car also, and that may be whats draining the battery down real bad on it,i did this about a year ago ,i jumped another vehicle off,and i came on home, the next day my truck would not start, and i checked the alternator ,and it burnt it out,so you could have some damage to yours also, you,ll have to get it going ,and take it and have it checked, chances are the battery is good,it may be the alternator that's went out on it,good luck i hope this help,s.PS auto zone or advance either one can check the battery and the alternator for you free of charge, good luck.

feels like an indoors mild staying on, boot or comparable. seem around for lights on after dark, with a stable mate to enable you out, climb in the boot, close it thoroughly, the sunshine at times comes back on whilst the lid is tight down, examine for a glow from the glove container, etc in case you won't be in a position to detect something then positioned an ammeter between the battery damaging terminal and the damaging lead, you relatively need to connect a slave battery in the process the Cigarette lighter socket to stop the radio from de coding on a similar time as you connect the ammeter, you ought to place the ammeter between slave and cigarette lighter socket in case you opt for, examine for discharge and take a inspect the alternator the rectifier diodes at times fail and permit back feeding besides the undeniable fact that it costs high quality so it relatively is not likely. it relatively is unusual how rapid a 5 watt bulb will flatten a healthful battery, you woukld think of it would take weeks yet go away the bootlight on in one day and it is going flat.

yes it is.
it is also possible that an improper hook-up could have fried something in your charging / electrical system.
tell your buddy to stop jumping off of your car (it is only supposed to be done occassionally, not every day) and buy a new battery for his car (and yours too because he has destroyed your battery!)

Yes it can..You vehicle should be running, perhaps a higher idle when boosting someone else. Then the vehicle should remain running to recharge the battery.. Perhaps though , maybe your battery needs to b full charged and then check it to see if it will hold the charge,. good luck

Your roommate owes you a battery and hopefully that's all because if not done right the electronics can be damaged as well.
