I have a channel cat, pictus cat, 4 line pictus cat, raphael striped cat, sun cat, ( all around 3,4,5,6 inches in a 55 ) as well as 3 cichlids ( don't know what kind ) that are roughly three inches. ) Whenever i feed the catfish, my channel eats most of it, but they all eat at least a little bit. Besides feeding them more, is there something i could do to my fish that would quicken up their growth pace?

Well, they won't get to full size in such a crowded tank, so I would say get rid of the channel cat, the sun cat and at least one more. Find out what the cichlids are and get rid of any that get large. In the mean time, lots of large water changes and a warm temperature can help speed growth, but healthy growth is certainly better than fast growth, so don't try to push they too hard.

Just feed them and keep the water clean, and get rid of the channel and sun cats since they grow large and are inappropriate for your tank.

It's not a race - if you simply take good care of them they'll grow at a natural pace.

I just answered your other question before seeing cichlids and 55g tank. Now I really suggest getting rid of all your cats, and replacing with 6 Synodontis Multipunctatus or Petricola. Assuming you have african cichlids, Synos are from african lakes and do great with cichlids.

maybe you could seperate them at feeding time by sliding a partition in you tank -get a plastick piece cut to fit your tank. feed them and remove it about 15 minutes later. Just a thought...

Some fish grow to suit the size of the environment. I know goldfish do, so maybe these fish fit that category.

A bigger habitat. Fish will generally grow to the size of their environment.
Ever seen the huge carp at Japanese restaurants? They're in large ponds; and they're worth thousands of dollars each.......
