out of frustation i kicked the vending machine at work and put a hole in it the size of a £2 coin because it wasnt working i stated that it wasnt done with intention to damage the machine but this manager says it was my intention to damage it how do i prove it please advice i know it was a silly thing to do

tell the manager you aint anyones shitehorse. Tell him if he spoke to you in the pub like that you'd knok him to the floor. Tell him you aint even that desperate for his poxy job and threaten to leave. Make it known if you leave/get fired, you WILL burn the company down. Now make me fix the damage asshole, or go away and let me get on with my job.
(Keep eye contact the whole time, even if he looks away, which he will)

I suspect that really the answer is that "you did not think" as my sarcastic old schoolmaster used to say. Sitting back later it must surely be obvious that the outcome of what you did was the damage.
