I am a laid back person. I make about 500 a week here in connecticut and money is tight. I have looked into jobs in my profesion(electrical) and I can make the same amount of money there as I do here. I also am under the understanding that the cost of living is a lot less in Florida. I guess I am just looking for some input from those who live there or have lived there. Thanks

trust me the cost of living in florida is higher. The rent and the bill is much higher than most state considering the high market price for houses.

The cost of living is a little bit less in Florida and it is definitely more laid back. But I have noticed that there are very few good jobs down there. The majority of people in Florida are aspiring actors. Most people in Florida are in the service industry, waiters, waitresses, busboys, etc. Many women down there also do "escort service" (i.e. prostitution).

I don't live in Florida, but with the hurricanes, and possible flooding since it's very low land..I would never move there!
