To answer a previous question: I am asking these questions for everyones opinion. All the women in my senarios are based on REAL women and the ways they raise their children. Anything I add beyond the base question are things I have observed in their children. At this point, I don't agree or disagree with how they raise their children, as my ways are different. And I have been switching the women around going from extreme to extreme, so woman A is not always Woman A.

Who's opinion do you support?
Woman A - She always stays home, never drives anywhere. If she needs to go anywhere with her child, she uses the stroller. She is a stay-at-home mom and has very little need to travel.
Woman B - She always drives where she needs to go. She averages 2-5 hours a day in her car, taking her child with her. She works an hour from home and the babysitter is in the same town she works in. The additional time in the car is for her enjoyment of traveling.
Child age 3-6 mo.

While A would probably not be my ideal situation, depending on whether, and exactly HOW much time she spent with the stroller, I would more support A. I feel like too much time in the car keeps the baby non active, not using it's muscles to learn to crawl, walk, or whatever it should be building muscle memory for. Also, and a lot of parents get into this pickle, if a child only learns to fall asleep in the car, you are going to have ONE HELL OF A TIME trying to get them to sleep WITHOUT the car!

I don't think it's a good idea for a 3-6 month old to be in a car seat for 2-5 hours each and every day. Here's a link to an article titled "Don't Let Baby Sleep in Car Seat--Warning." http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,20893036-23109,00.html

If someone doesn't have a lot of need to travel often, and when they do it is in walking distance and the weather is nice its fine to take a stroller. We drive down to a river levee to walk along the river for about an hour everyday, but we do have to drive there because of the distance and lack of sidewalks from our house to the levee.

Our grocery store is only about 3 blocks away from the house, but I still have to load both kids into the car and drive there, otherwise I would have no way to get the groceries home.

Just a note: such stark dichotomies are unrepresentative of the general population which will generally fall between the two extremes, you'll find that very few people absolutely agree with either standpoint.

Talk about 2 different extremes. Woman A I am wondering how her child will ever learn how to travel. ANYWHERE in a car, airplane, train. Or any type of motor vehicle? Woman B, that is a little much. My bottom get to hurting after a while in the car. I guess that after her child get a little older and starts throwing a fit. She won't be in the car so much....

neither i am a stay at home mom by day and delivery coordinator by night but during the day i have to be able to get out go get things that i need and with two kids a stroller is not optimal but there are some places that walking is not an option like the grocery store and having to buy milk or diapers so i think you should get a different opinion and go with that

Both, if woman A has no need to travel then thats her choice, walking is healthy. If Woman B needs to travel, then travel she does. Either way the child is being taken care of and thats all that matters, who cares whether they are in a stroller or a car seat.

I prefer to limit baby's time in the carseat since she does not get any simulation or chance to exercise in there. 5 hours in a day in a carseat is too much.
As for woman A, its okay if she does not need to drive. But if she always saves up all her driving for when she can leave baby with someone else and changes her lifestyle substantially so as not to drive with baby, that is wrong. She is letting baby control her life too much and needs to give some priority to her own needs as well.

If the motor vehicle replaced into synthetic in the previous the seat belt rules have been written you do no longer might desire to positioned on one simply by fact this is not put in, and purely the manufacture of the belt knows the place to place it and what's risk-free. If it would not have a midsection seat belt and replaced into synthetic that way then no seat belt is needed as long simply by fact the unit has no longer been tampered with. There are some states that could require you to positioned on them yet whilst they are not unique equipment they're searching for a lawsuit to ensue in case you place them in and get injured. have not got self belief me ask a criminal expert.

1. kids love to ride in cars.
2. too much time in car seat for young infants is not good (for their spine at least, if not anything else).

So somewhere in between. I'd take the baby to go whereever I need to go. I don't have the luxury to have 2-5 hours everyday just for enjoyment. lol.

I believe that they both need a car seat. Woman B is obivous why she does.
With woman a, she never knows what may happen while she does not drive, there will be times where she will need to get somewhere and need to be able to safetly transport her baby.
