I am retired U.S. Navy and have been living in the Philippines the past 5 years. You can E mail me if you like with questions about living here.
There is also a Yahoo Group, Living in the Philippines 3 that has hundreds of members living in differant areas to help answer specific questions.

I have several friends who have established permanent residence in Philippines. Some American, some British, some Aussie, some Kiwi. I spend a lot of time there but always on tourist visa. Do you have a specific question?
