All four members could not agree on who would take Brian Epstein's place as their manager after he died. Paul wanted his wife's dad, Lee Eastman but the other's thought Lee would favor Paul's ideas over theirs. The other three members wanted to sign the Rolling Stones former manager, Allen Klein as their manager. Paul didn't like the idea as there had been speculation that he stole money from the Stones. Also, their company Apple Corps. and their Apple Boutique clothing store was not being run properly which cost them to lose a lot of profits. Yoko Ono also played a part in the breakup. Starting in late 1968, she attended every recording session and the others thought of it as a distraction. Mostly the fact was that the strong partnership between Paul and John was crumbling and they were running out of ideas as a team. The Beatles never actually agreed to break up. Paul left, being fed-up with not having a suitable manager and place to record and the band fall apart. The other three actually wanted to work it out but, he sued them in early 1970 to dissolve the partnership.

I think what made them so famous apart from good songs was that they were the first band to really do what they did.up til then most bands played covers of other musicians.the beatles wrote all their own stuff.
