As I am leaving London for awhile I would need to leave a set of keys for my relatives to be able to use my flat while i'm gone. Does anyone have an idea on where to store the keys, which would later be available to the persons who know the password/code? First thing that pops to my mind is a safe deposit box, but most of the companies dealing with this rent the box only for long term (min 1 year), so is there something more short-term out there (couple of weeks or so) and has key-less approach (pin/password)?
Thanks!

Better leave the key with reliable friends whre your parents can go and collect.

The most reliable and safe place, is to create your own place. If there is a garden, for instance, outside garden, then you can put the keys into a small plastic bag, dig a hole in a particular place, such as where you put your rubbish bin, let say 6 to 10 inches deep, burry the bag there. Put something on top, such as a stone for easy identification, which will be known to you and your parents only. I did that several times with my family members and succeeded.

Can't think of any possible alternative for the period you mention.

All the best!/

I used to have one. Until I realized one day that the stuff I was putting in there was neither valuable nor important. Now I save the money and keep the papers in a box under the bed. Works just as well.
