This is what I do. If I get a violation notice because the questioner didn't like my answer, I flush them down the delete bin and move on and the reason for this is as follows: There are literally hundreds of violations clicked every single day and Yahoo will only respond to the serious ones where an initial threat is imminent; otherwise, it's just another day for violations to be flushed down the deltecomode,.

I got a bogus violation too, and responded, they never answered back, it's been a week here too... I wonder if they even read the questions and answers involved, or just automatically send out a notice and there isn't even a person involved, the reply option is just to make you think they will do something about it...

Glad you brought this up because I have been waiting over two weeks for a reply. There was no defence for the yahoo team for the reason the gave me a violation notice, they said it wasn't a question although it very much was and still is. I can only think that by their silence, shall we say, that the yahoo team sees itself as being superior to us mere mortals.

I responded to an unfair violation and never recieved a reply.I know i never will so its all a bit of a sham really, i mean look how many questions are allowed that are really offensive and below the belt and yet are allowed. The violations must be picked at random is my guess regardless of content.

Freedom of speech ends where someone else's nose begins. You have freedom of speech and someone else has the right not to like it. If he expresses his dislike in a respectful manner he also has that right. Calling someone names is wrong. You needed to just say, "Tim, u don't hv to like my questions but refrain from reading them if that is the case... However, if u both stooped to name calling then u BOTH are wrong. Be constructive.
One week is a fair back log. Did u get all yr tasks done this week?

I have never had an email back either from customer care or from the yahoo forum bods when I have objected to the unfairness of a violation notice i have received.
All I can say is welcome to the murky side of Yahoo Q&A. Customer care Baah Humbug!

I waited over a month. They don't even read what the violation was really about or even bother to check if it was really a violation.

Cos it's all automated and done by computers. There is no actual human being to answer your request or response.
