That is a very personal decision. You have to consider what is at stake and what is not. If you decide to come out, be prepared to cope with what comes after at home, work and/or school.
There are so many things to take into account that, if you think too much, you'll never take the step.
Suggestion: make a list of pros and cons then wheigh what the outcome can be in either case. Quoting Forrest Gump's mom, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."
Same thing applies to this decision; it's like playing the roulette. It can turn out OK, but, on the other hand, it can result in chaos.

If you are gay, then you should 'come out of the closet' ... but doing that isn't going to be easy ... so I'd say that you should 'come out' to your best/closest friends first, one at a time, and 'test the waters' slowly. Eventually, you'll NEED to talk to your 'family' (parents, spouse, children) but you shouldn't do that until you have a 'good solid support network' around you ...

You tell your father and mom that in the event that they are going to bypass with the full "gay is a sin" ingredient, then your mom shouldn't additionally be chatting with you because of the fact in accordance to the bible, women are actually not meant to lecture or coach a guy. in case you're at it, get on your mom approximately her sinful existence of having a haircut two times a 300 and sixty 5 days. additionally, next time your loved ones eats at purple Lobster, element out that they are committing an abomination by ability of ingesting shellfish. And ask them why rapists are in reformatory, because of the fact the bible condones rape. your loved ones isn't anti-gay because of the fact the bible says so. they are only utilising it for an excuse to be bigoted.
