I'm not so sure about Pantera, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, and some of the others, but you also have The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and other really good ones. You have a pretty good rock and roll taste, yes.

Your taste seems fine. However if you want to be considered a true music aficionado you need more diverse tastes and more obscure tastes. Some of these bands and artists have excellent earlier works under different names (not mentioned in the list). All this list shows is that you listen to the popular radio and pick the best from there.

There's no such thing as a certain "good taste." What you like is what you like. It's "good taste" either way. Maybe not in another person perception. I'd have to say I like most of them. Some of them I've never heard of and others I've never listened to and others I just flat out don't like but most of them to me are fine. But you are the only one who can say what "good taste" really is to yourself. Nobody can tell you what's good and what's not to yourself...

You like some good stuff and a lot of rubbish too.

How can you put someone as crappy as Bryan Adams alongside the Stones - for example.

How can you have good musical taste if you're asking us if you like those rock bands or artists?

Good taste...but not all of us listen to rock music alone. Good musical taste is appreciate all music not just one type:)
